OMOROVICZA ULTRAMOOR MUD MASK
After a week of work and wearing face masks and makeup the weekends are a welcome rest for my skin. On the weekends I love going makeup free. On Sundays I like to pay some extra attention to relaxation and my overall well being before the work week begins.
After a sometimes hectic work week at the hospital it is important to find healthy ways to destress. That is why I decided to make Sunday home Spa Days a routine. While a spa day can be beneficial to your physical well being, the relaxation of a spa day is also beneficial to your mental well being. While there are many things I enjoy during a home spa day I love using a face mask. Best part is while the mask sets I take time to read a book and relax and listen to some music.
By the end of the week my skin is in need of some extra love. Depending on how my skin feels and what it needs I choose the appropriate mask. You can read about the different types of face masks on my previous post. Today I am going to focus on the Omorovicza Ultramoor Mud Mask. I discussed this mask previously in my best skincare finds of 2020 post but thought I would go into more details on my opinions of it.
Description
Omorovicza Ultramoor Mud Mask is described to transform skin’s appearance in just a few minutes with this flash-lifting anti-aging mask. This mask is made from Hungarian moor mud which is rich in calcium and magnesium carbonates, humic acid and fluvic acid, which work together to purify and detoxify the skin. The mask combines gentle exfoliation with deep pore cleansing to leave your facial contour more sharply defined and your complexion brighter. Essential oils create a cooling effect on the skin. Dead skin cells are eliminated for a brighter, smoother, more even-toned complexion, skin is hydrated and its appearance is more supple and youthful, too.

First Impression
The packaging of the mask is in a heavy glass frosted jar. The packaging looks and feels luxurious and high end. The mask smells medicinal but refreshing. The scent is quite strong and I know of others who find it overwhelming. I found there was a minty scent to it that reminded me of vicks vaporub. Personally the scent did not bother me. This mask had a thick texture that was slightly gritty but easy to apply. It did not slip too much and stuck nicely to the skin. When applied this mask has a slight cooling effect on the skin.
Thoughts
I have been using this mask once a week. Depending on my skin needs I apply this mask on my entire face and neck or just the lower half of my face.. I leave it on for 15 minutes and then remove with warm water. Right after cleansing my skin feels clean and soft. I also feel that my skin is visibly brighter. I have never experienced any irritation. I do believe my pore size is reduced and my skin appears smoother. I do not definitely see a lifting effect. I have combination skin and this mask is the perfect weekly boost to my skincare routine.
