Red lipsticks
YSL Pur Rouge Couture Shade 1
Red lipsticks have become my go to statement color. There are so many undertones and finishes it is hard to find the perfect one! I prefer a more cool/blue undertone for my go to shade. I tried out 4 new reds above. My usual go to red is Charlotte Tilbury in the shade red carpet red.
Here is a quick rundown of the new lipsticks I tried and my opinion.
YSL Rouge Pur Couture - YSL lipsticks are one of my favorites because of their rich pigmentation. Their cream lipsticks have a satin finish, feel hydrating and are comfortable to wear.
Givenchy Deep Velvet Matte - This is my first time trying their matte lipstick. Richly pigmented and not too drying. The staying power of the Smashbox lipstick I discuss later is longer that this lipstick.
Buxom Full Force Plumping Lipstick - this is the first time trying a buxom lipstick. I am a big fan of their plumping lipgloss. I love the subtle tingle and plump from this lipgloss. This lipstick also has a satin finish and is comfortable to wear.
Smashbox Always on Cream to Matte - I have tried the Smashbox liquid lipsticks before but this was my first time trying their lipstick. This was a surprise winner for me! This was such a comfortable matte lipstick to wear and lasted through eating and drinking. I will definitely be buying more of these!
