Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick Review

When it comes to skincare finding the perfect under eye cream has been a long journey.

While I usually like to try a product out for at least a month before reviewing them I have fallen in love with this eye stick! This is my first time trying Peace Out beauty and I purchased their Retinol Eye Stick from Sephora. It was all the positive reviews that made me decide to try it. I have been using the product for about 3 weeks now.

I love the packaging of this product. The pink color of the packaging is cute and the lid shuts firmly. Easy to pack or travel with.

Initially I was skeptical about rubbing a firm stick along my under eye skin. The skin there is quite delicate and I am careful when applying creams to pat them in and never rub. The first time I used the stick I ‘warmed it up’ a bit on the back of my hand so I did not tug at my skin. After a few tries I went on the Peace Out Instagram page and I luckily saw a video regarding use of the stick.

They recommend starting at the outer corner of the eye. Rubbing the stick there to warm it up then swipe down and in towards the inner corner of your eye. Ever since using this technique I do not have issues with the stick pulling on my skin.

This is one of the first skincare products that I saw improvements with quickly.

Product claims: A concentrated serum balm that addresses tired skin by minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and texture for smoother-looking eyes.

Key Ingredients:

-Encapsulated Retinol: Softens the look of fine lines and wrinkles and visibly smooths texture
- Power Peptide Complex: Smooths the visible signs of aging for firmer-looking skin.
- Vegan Squalane and Vegan Astaxanthin: Prevents dehydration and boosts moisture for visibly bouncy, glowing skin.

Although the product claims to focus on minimizing under eye texture and wrinkles the first thing I noticed with the product was how much lighter and brighter my under eye area was! I would say I noticed this within a few days. I always use a relatively standard amount of concealer but I noticed I did not need as much. I would say my under eye texture has improved. After I put powder products on I notice my fine lines a lot less. In terms of wrinkles I have not seen huge changes yet.

When using this stick I put it on first then apply a cream on top.

Overall this is a win for me! For me this has helped more with dark circles and fine lines than wrinkles so if you are trying it keep that in mind. With longer use I may see more of a change with wrinkles and can update you guys!

Below are two photos from October 2020 before using the eye stick. Overall my complexion looks good but when you look closely my under eye area is a bit darker. The second back lit photo would be comparable to the backlit photo of me in the pink outfit.

Here are two after photos! The editing with regards to brightness are the same and the skin hasn’t been touched up in any of the photos. Looking at these photos I actually think my overall complexion looks so much better. Since October 2020 I had done my month of Holt Renfrew advent calendar skincare so some of the complexion changes can be attributed to those products.
