24 hrs in Victoria BC: What I ate
Where to Stay: Inn at LAurel Point
Last weekend I was lucky to have a short getaway to Victoria for a girls weekend. We ate our way through Victoria and I wanted to share what we tried.
We stayed at the Inn at Laurel Point. Our suite had gorgeous views facing the inner harbour. It was the perfect spot for a pre dinner drink and morning coffee.
Brunch: Nourish Kitchen & Cafe
Nourish is a short walk from the Inn at Laurel Point and worth a visit for brunch. My tip for Nourish is to order the half benny half pancake combo to get your sweet and savory fix.
Snack: Mini Donuts at Fisherman’s Warf
We lucked out with a rain free afternoon and decided to walk around and explore James Bay. We ventured into Fisherman’s and I could not resist the mini donuts. This is the perfect snack while walking around and exploring.
Beware of flying powdered sugar … it will get everywhere.
Happy Hour: Aura at the Inn at LAurel Point
Bubbly and oysters, you really can’t go wrong.
Dinner and Drinks: Aura at the Inn at LAurel Point
If you want a restaurant with gorgeous views and delicious food definitely give Aura a try.
Aura recently launched a new cocktail menu and we were invited to try it out. If you follow me on Instagram you know I love cocktails especially bubbly ones. The new cocktail menu has 3 bubbly cocktails which are all delicious. My favorite bubbly was their take on a French 75. The Aura’s Aurora is a delicious light gin and lavender cocktail which I also recommend trying.
The food we ordered was all amazing. It is hard to choose a few favorites but their scallops, halibut and panisse with lentils would be our top 3. If you love bread and butter like myself get their parkerhouse rolls, the flavored butter is exceptional. Lastly for dessert the mousse cake was light and fresh with the strawberry confit.
The restaurant is also great at accommodating for any dietary restrictions.
If you try and of these restaurants out let me know!
* Thank you to the Inn at Laurel Point for the stay and meal. As always the reviews are my own.
